AGYA Alumni Jointly building bridges into the future
About me
AGYA strengthened and significantly broadened my ties to research communities and support networks in the Arab world and Germany, exposing me to people with common interests, access to scholarly resources, and fun and fulfilling activities.
As a professor of mechanical engineering with primary research interests in the areas of energy and the environment, AGYA broadened my intercultural experiences and gave new dimension to my research through cross-cultural activities and projects. This helped me to connect with a diverse scientific community, learn new skills, and even advance my career. One of the most successful projects I conducted with the support of AGYA was the ‘International Conference on Energy, Water and Environmental Sciences’ (ICEWES) in 2018. The conference secured participation from a wide range of researchers, students, and other stakeholders, and included an exciting student research competition held on the third day.
In 2016, I served as AGYA Co-president, which was a valuable experience that sharpened my leadership skills.
