Raising Awareness – Sharing Responsibility

Heritage and histories enrich and connect our identities in this pluralistic world: We experience the temples of Palmyra under threat of destruction; the island of Zanzibar as a cultural melting pot; the storytelling traditions of Cinderella in the Arab and German world. Can we raise awareness of these valuable assets and promote shared responsibilities on equal terms by documenting the past and preserving cultural heritage with innovative approaches? Can we shape societies fit for the future without losing track of their past through researching histories and stories?
