Phi's Research and Innovation Summit 2019

Conference

For the fourth time and under the patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan (President of the Royal Scientific Society), PRIS’19 aimed to increase the networking and collaboration between professors and students, as well as all levels of scientists. Following this philosophy, the summit of 2019 was entitled ‘Connect for Science’ and therefore was designed by the organizers to foster South-South research networks and develop new partnerships beyond fixed research disciplines and national boundaries in the Arab world. Furthermore, the summit layout put words into action and used real applications for all young researcher and participants by offering numerous hands-on experience workshops and special research sessions given by the best scientists in their fields. Basic requirement to ignite innovation processes is connectivity, creativity, and commitment and this summit formed the framework to do so.

Three AGYA members (Mahmoud Abdel-Hafiez, Olfa Messaoud, and Ahmad Sakhrieh) and two AGYA Alumni (Henda Mahmoudi and Lalla Btissam Drissi) from different scientific fields attended the summit, presented their newest results of their research as invited speakers and represented AGYA during this important event in the region.

The summit was organized by the Phi Science Institute in Amman (Jordan) and was supported by the Arab German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities (AGYA).
