About me

My current research includes several collaborative projects on different topics in mathematics. First, with my fellow AGYA member Dr. Ali Elgayar and several other colleagues, I am working on a sum-of-ratios project. In addition to this, I am conducting research into the numerical aspects of the Cauchon algorithm together with Prof. Dr. Jürgen Garloff at the University of Konstanz in Germany and one of my M.Sc. students at Palestine Polytechnic University. Finally, I am also working with Prof. Dr. Shaun Fallat at the University of Regina in Canada on the inverse eigenvalue problem of graphs and other related problems. As a teacher of mathematics, not only a researcher, I work to embrace a pedagogical approach to both teaching and learning mathematics, and I strive to promote critical thinking among my students in Palestine.

AGYA has given me the opportunity to attend several trainings on innovative methods and integrating interdisciplinary courses in higher education, which I plan to incorporate into my teaching.

I was motivated to join AGYA for its opportunities to network, exchange, and discuss ideas with colleagues from diverse fields in Germany and the Arab world, with the aim of generating new creative and entrepreneurial interdisciplinary projects. Being an AGYA member offers me a unique opportunity to actively contribute to the great work undertaken by the academy and the chance to access funding to realize my research and service-oriented scholarship ideas. I am particularly interested in using my time in AGYA to facilitate increased academic exchange, cross-border cooperation and cross-cultural collaboration between scholars and students from Germany, Arab countries, and other parts of the world.
