Working Group Meeting: A History of Heritage(s)

The AGYA Working Group Common Heritage and Common Challenges will meet in Füssen, Germany, for an internal workshop on ‘A History of Heritage(s) – Concepts, Ideas, and Global Perspectives’. Members will explore the changing understanding of cultural heritage, including tangible and intangible cultural assets as well as natural heritage, and reflect on its preservation in various global contexts.

As part of the program, participants will take the UNESCO World Heritage site Neuschwanstein Castle as a basis for discussing the interplay between heritage protection and mass tourism, offering concrete insights into contemporary challenges in heritage management from an Arab-German perspective.
