About me

Currently I am Professor for Prehistoric Archaeology at the University of Tübingen. Next to my extensive work on several archaeological campaigns in Syria, I devoted a great personal energy in caring for and protecting the archaeological sites and cultural heritage in war-torn Syria during the last three years.

I am interested in the field of Near Eastern Archaeology and am involved in different initiatives concerning the safeguarding of antiquities and cultural heritage in the Levant, particularly in Syria.
