Dawud Ansari

Combining expertise in economics, political science, engineering, foresight, and other fields, my work addresses critical global and regional challenges in energy, climate, geopolitics, and development.

As President of Muscat-based Majan Council, I direct research and dialogues shaping the region’s strategic priorities while advising high-level decision-makers in the GCC and Germany. In this capacity, I also provide insights that bridge policy, strategy, and action. Previously, at SWP Berlin, I advanced research and diplomacy on hydrogen geopolitics, EU-GCC relations, and regional stability. As a visiting scholar at DIW Berlin, I examine economic, political, and societal dynamics influencing transformation in the Arab World. Additionally, as Director of the Energy Access and Development Program and Chairman of the Foundation Nord-Süd-Brücken, I shape development policy and build Yemen's rural energy and water infrastructure. I also teach at the Berlin Institute of Technology.

Joining AGYA allows me to foster Arab-Arab-German collaboration, uniting academic, private, and public institutions from both regions.
