14 New Members from 10 Different Disciplines Inaugurated
In the framework of the AGYA Annual Conference in Beirut in October 2019, fourteen new AGYA members, 7 members from the Arab world and 7 members from Germany, were inaugurated to the Academy. For the first time, a scientist from Libya was selected to become AGYA member. Ali Elgayar explains his motivation to become an Academy member: ‘In Libya, it is not a common practice to work in interdisciplinary projects. I will be happy to share the knowledge and skills that I gain as AGYA member with my colleagues from my research institution as well as other universities in Libya.’
For the outstanding young researchers, the inauguration marks the beginning of their five-year membership in AGYA, in which they have the possibility to develop projects through research cooperation across nations and disciplines.
