Workshop: Building Supportive Communities for Neurodivergent Families

Neurodivergence, which includes conditions such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, brings distinct mental health challenges for individuals and their families across the globe. These challenges are especially pronounced for women, who are frequently underdiagnosed and lack access to tailored support, particularly when they transition into motherhood.

The AGYA Working Group Health and Society is organizing a workshop that features keynote presentations from leading experts, providing a foundation for in-depth discussions and interactive sessions. Designed to encourage knowledge exchange and dialogue between researchers, practitioners, and neurodivergent mothers, the workshop aims to cultivate a comprehensive understanding and generate actionable insights.

The workshop organizers seek to develop recommendations and strategies for creating inclusive and effective support systems by sharing research results, identifying best practices, and promoting greater acceptance of neurodivergent individuals, particularly within higher education systems in both Germany and the Arab region.
