Conference: K–12 Education and Teacher Training in the Arab World and Germany: Content, Structure, Potential
Despite increasing cultural diversity in German classrooms, future educators often lack the opportunity to gain intercultural experience abroad, especially in Arab countries. This event will bring together researchers and stakeholders to explore how intercultural competence of future educators can be developed. Experts from various academic disciplines with a focus on primary and secondary (K-12) education and teacher training are invited to present their research, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary approaches in competence building, violence prevention, and peace education. Institutions that facilitate international exchange in K-12 education will share their initiatives and experiences. Participants from both groups will collaborate to discuss and develop concrete project ideas aimed at strengthening Arab-German educational partnerships to enhance international mobility, foster intercultural understanding, and shape the future of education in both Germany and the Arab world.
