AGYA Alumni Jointly building bridges into the future
About me
I am Professor of food safety. My research focuses on detection and inactivation of pathogenic microorganisms in food using innovative techniques and assessment of food safety knowledge and practices of the local community. Currently, I am working on using nanoparticles, irradiation and microwaves to inactivate pathogenic microorganisms in food.
My motivation to participate in AGYA is to develop my international scientific network to help me in improving my professional career. Joining AGYA community which includes outstanding Arab and German young researchers with different scientific background will give me the opportunity to develop and implement innovative interdisciplinary research projects.
As AGYA Member, I will contribute to improvement of food safety and nutrition by introducing innovative approaches in food processing and preservation, and will work on collaborative research to find solutions to reduce food contamination and losses in the Arab countries and Germany.
