About me

I am passionate about Mathematics since an early age. I received a bachelor degree in pure Mathematics from Damascus University. However, as I was very curious to learn how Mathematics can be used to solve real-world problems, I shifted my direction and received a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics at the University of Western Australia followed by a PhD in 2016. Between 2016 and 2022, I was involved in research positions in Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and Harry Perkins Institute, where I collaborated with industries and other fields from Medicine and Biology to Engineering and Ecology, which gives me great experience in interdisciplinary research. In 2022, I moved to Qatar. Where I am now an Assistant Professor in the department of Mathematics at the University of Doha for Science and Technology.

AGYA gives me a platform to explore interdisciplinary research, where I can blend my mathematical skills with other fields to enhance humanity and the environment.
