AGYA at Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2021

Storytelling Traditions, Social Robots, and Food Cultures: AGYA joined the International Book Fair 2021 where Germany this year kicked off its two years ‘guest of honor’. AGYA joined the German exhibition stand and presented selected publications and events on topics such as storytelling, science communication, and food as cultural signifier.

Selected new and recent publications from AGYA members, alumni and alumnae represented AGYA’s diversity of interdisciplinary research to a larger audience. A List of AGYA publications and selected highlights presented at the German Pavillon at ADIBF 2021 can be found here.

In the framework of the book fair, AGYA alumnus Prof. Dr. Bilal Orfali took part in a discussion round on ‘The Arabic Language Across Borders’. AGYA alumna and Principal Invesigator Prof. Dr. Verena Lepper exchanged with AGYA member Dr. Laila Prager on ‘Arab and German Storytelling Traditions’.
