Workshop: Towards Compatibility and Shared Standards - Exploring Content Management Systems in Lebanon’s Cultural Heritage Sector
Many cultural heritage institutions in Lebanon—museums, libraries, archives, and documentation centers—are currently working to digitize, manage, and share their collections. However, the tools and standards used across these institutions vary widely. This diversity of platforms and practices can limit collaboration, data exchange, and the long-term sustainability of digital collections.
The workshop provides an opportunity to bring together these organizations to discuss common challenges and explore pathways toward greater alignment in content management systems (CMS), metadata standards, and digital preservation practices.
