Exhibition: INSIDE THE STUDIO - Spaces of Electronic Music Production Berlin/Cairo

While techno and electronic dance music (EDM) are synonymous with pulsating club floors and euphoric festival crowds, their true genesis occurs in spaces largely invisible to the public. This exhibition offers an unprecedented glimpse into the creative laboratories in Berlin and Cairo where electronic music comes to life.

The exhibition showcases a curated selection of photographs that juxtapose EDM studio spaces in Berlin and Cairo, revealing the intimate environments where sound transforms into cultural phenomenon.

Through the lens of internationally renowned photographer Gero Cacciatore, visitors encounter the workspaces of electronic music artists across two vibrant cultural capitals.

Opening Event – 24 June 2025

The exhibition opens with a compelling public conversation between AGYA alumnus Prof. Dr. Matthias Pasdzierny, EDM pioneer Modeselektor's Gernot Bronsert, and photographer Gero Cacciatore. This dialogue will examine the socio-political role of EDM in Germany and Egypt, and its profound relevance to the audiences it draws.

Finissage – 20 July 2025

The closing event invites audiences on a special musical journey with Berlin-based international EDM artist Sascha Perera, who will guide visitors through her creative process, offering rare insights into the artistic mind behind the beat.

Join us in exploring the 'behind the scenes' world of electronic music creation across two dynamic cities.
