Sheema Almozyan
About me
I am a postdoctoral fellow at the MIT Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research in Prof. Jianzhu Chen’s lab, supported by the MIT Ibn Khaldun Postdoctoral Fellowship, with my home institution at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH&RC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. My research focuses on developing next-generation CAR T and CAR NK cell therapies by targeting intracellular tumour antigens and improving the persistence, function, and therapeutic potential of engineered immune cells. I am particularly interested in developing 3D patient-derived organoid models to better understand and advance CAR T and TCR-based cell therapies for solid tumours.
To AGYA, I contribute my perspective in cancer immunotherapy and gain new perspectives that challenge how I think, ask new questions, and open paths toward meaningful scientific progress.
Through AGYA, I can be part of a community where curiosity crosses disciplines, ideas move beyond the boundaries of individual fields, and ambitious collaborations can grow into work with real impact.
