Rabia Yahya
About me
I am an Associate Professor in Physics at the Faculty of Science and Technology and Head of the Management of Research Structures Department of the University of Nouakchott, Mauritania. I started out in Mauritanian classrooms, earned my master’s degree in Canada, received my Ph.D. in Japan, and taught in Saudi Arabia – this journey has shown me that the world’s greatest challenges cannot be solved within a single discipline, a single language, or a single national border.
My research focuses on microwave technologies for wireless applications, including Ultra Wideband antennas, Frequency Selective Surfaces, transparent materials for medical applications, and wireless energy harvesting.
As an AGYA member, my mission is to cooperate in interdisciplinary projects that create real impact and to engage and empower new generations for continuous impact.
I contribute my expertise in microwave technology to this unique research network and aim to help expanding AGYA's network. In return, I benefit from mentoring, partnerships, and cultural exchange, which deepen my research and broaden its scope.
