About me
My research interests include foreign cultural policy, international cultural relations, artists as agents of change, cultural activism, sociopolitical transformation processes and culture in conflict regions among others.
I am the head of the DAAD funded project “تواصل [Tawasol] Cultural Production and Policy Network” investigating socio-political dimensions of artistic formats in cooperation with universities in Lebanon and Tunisia by setting up pioneering educational programs in the field of cultural policy and international cultural relations.
Before that, I was an academic associate at the University of Hildesheim and coordinator of the Graduate School ‘Performing Sustainability: Cultures and Development in West Africa’.
I strive to engage in Arab-German knowledge exchange and to collaborate with artists and other social actors in the MENA region and Germany.
Within the framework of AGYA, I am able expand my networks and implement collaborative interdisciplinary research projects in the field of arts, cultural diplomacy, and social transformation processes.
