About me
My current work as a postdoc researcher at the University of Leipzig focuses on the theoretically and empirically under-explored interdependencies of norms and practices in the development of international conflict management. In my research, I try to analyse multiple sources of agenda and agency within and outside of international organizations (such as the UN, EU, or Arab League), resulting in diverging and conflicting norm pressures and practices, especially between the headquarters of these organizations and the peace missions in the field.
Today's challenges of conflicts, transformation and peace processes in several regions require intercultural and interdisciplinary research approaches, for which AGYA provides an ideal framework. In my opinion, we need inter- and transdisciplinary partnerships to learn from each other and to solve global challenges in a holistic approach.
By providing a well-structured cooperation framework, AGYA enables me to establish strong links with researchers from diverse disciplines and to create a pioneering Arab-German perspective on the future shape of international conflict management.
