Jeffrey G. Karam
About me
I am a scholar of International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies focused on U.S. Foreign Policy and Security in the Arab Middle East. Trained as an interdisciplinary Political Scientist in Lebanon and the U.S., I draw on primary and secondary documents in multiple languages to analyze the U.S. grand strategy and intelligence in the Arab Middle East. I have edited and published two books. Furthermore, I contributed to several peer-reviewed academic publications and wrote policy papers on developments in the Arab region. My work also appeared in prominent public outlets such as The Washington Post, OpenDemocracy, Jadaliyya, and more.
AGYA plays a vital role in promoting cooperation that embraces commonalities of people from Europe and the Middle East. Through AGYA, Arab-German research cooperation can continue fostering spaces for intercultural dialogue based on inclusion, tolerance, diversity, and mutual respect.
