Workshop: Knowledge Transfer between Arts, Science and Society

This 3-day workshop is setting the focus on knowledge transfer through artistic approaches and methods, comparing case studies from Egypt, Tunisia, the Gulf countries and Pakistan with findings from Germany. The event builds on research conducted by the AGYA Working Group Dynamics of Transformation on knowledge production in Arab countries and explores innovative methods and formats of knowledge transfer that transcend disciplinary and social boundaries. Examples include artistic interventions in urban spaces, participatory theatre, art festivals or exhibitions, science slams, and concerts. The three-day working group meeting is organized in conjunction with the German Film Week at the Goethe-Institut Cairo.
