The AGYA Working Group Common Heritage and Common Challenges wants to explore the unique approach chosen in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Santiago de Compostela combining ancient Romanesque and Gothic architecture in the old city with modern architecture and tech-labs in the recently inaugurated ‘Cidade da Cultura’.
During the symposium ‘Heritage, Memory, and Identity’ several presentations and round table discussions will provide insights at cultural heritage from an interdisciplinary and diachronic perspective.
The symposium is organized in cooperation with the Centro de Investigación Interuniversitario das Paisaxes Atlánticas Culturais (CISPAC), a research centre which aims to carry out interdisciplinary research on landscapes and their connection with heritage (demography, society, and territory).
