The next AGYA Annual Conference will be held in Amman, Jordan from 26 – 30 October 2017. The conference will consist of AGYA General Assembly and Working Groups meetings, network meetings with local research institutions, thematic excursions and a keynote lecture. Furthermore, the new AGYA members will be inaugurated and the new Steering Committee will be elected.

This includes the aspects of storytelling in pre-modern Islamic times, in modern Jordan, storytelling as teaching methods, and as a way of science communication.

The Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities (AGYA) and Texas A&M University at Qatar are organizing an international panel discussion on "Mathematics and Internationalization: Innovative Approaches in Research and Education" in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region. The event takes place in the framework of the Qatar-Germany Year of Culture 2017. The panel discussion is part of the AGYA Math Olympiad Camp which takes place in Doha for the second time.
