About me

As an architect with a postgraduate degree (magister) in urban planning, I worked as a teacher in the universities of Constantine and Jijel, while being in parallel a doctoral student in territory planning. Once my doctorate of science obtained with highest honours in 2009, I became a teacher and a researcher at Ecole Polytechnique d’Architecture et d’Urbanisme (EPAU) in the capital city of Algiers. In July 2019, I obtained my post-doctoral degree with accreditation to supervise research, and became therefore a senior lecturer.
My main research fields are related to architecture and urbanism. I work more precisely on housing projects, public spaces, the city and its sustainability. My last academic research project was about architectural and urban ambiances with a case study on theatre, project agreed by the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education (MESRS), with many international publications and oral presentations abroad.
Concerning my research experience abroad and international collaboration, I made six trainings at French, Belgian and Italian laboratories with different experts and researchers. I was member of international scientific committees for two congresses held in Amman and Helsinki, and member of International Ambiances Network. For me, AGYA is an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and to learn from experts and interdisciplinary teams.
