About me

Currently I am the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Quds University in Palestine and Associate Professor of Molecular Microbiology and Epidemiology.
The focuses of my research include investigation of Molecular Epidemiology of infectious disease at local, regional and international levels, and drug development through extraction, characterization and screening of natural, synthetic and semisynthetic compounds and screening their activity against bacteria and parasites.
Through AGYA, I see an excellent environment to establish multidisciplinary and multinational Arab-German panel for infectious diseases. This network of outstanding researchers will enable Arab scientists in their countries to get involved and communicate with their German counterparts for discussing all issues related to infectious diseases. This includes incidences, current control measures, vaccinations, diagnosis, treatment responses, related health policies and systems, effect of humans and animals’ mobility, and future perspectives.
